Welcome To PowerSchool

The parents and/or guardians of Aiken County School students have a new web-based secure internet tool to give them real-time access to all grades that have been posted in a teacher’s grade book. PowerSchool also lets you see your child’s attendance. You will also be able to email teachers through the ParentPortal.

Please contact your child's school for information regarding obtaining an account and password for logging into the ParentPortal.

What is PowerSchool?
PowerSchool is a student information management system used by schools and school districts across the United States. The South Carolina Department of Education has provided this program to all schools in the state. Power school is used for student demographics, storing grades and attendance, scheduling, and more.
What is PowerTeacher?
PowerTeacher is the component of PowerSchool that teachers use to record grades and attendance.
What is PowerSchool Parent/Student Portal?
The Parent/Student Portal is the component of PowerSchool that parents and students use to get access to real-time grades, assignments and attendance records from their teachers and schools.
Who may access the PowerSchool Parent/Student Portal?
Any parent/guardian of an active Aiken County School District student may access the Parent Portal. Currently, separate usernames and passwords will be issued for each student. This may change to only one parent/guardian username and password in a future upgrade to the program.
Will each parent have a separate username and password to the Parent/Student Portal?
No. The PowerSchool program allows only one parent/guardian account to be created per child. Therefore, parents/guardians must use the same username and password that was assigned by the district for their particular child.
Will I have one logon for all my children in the schools?
No. Each students record of information is separate, therefore you will have a different parent login for each child.
When can I get a Parent username and password?
Beginning second semester, school parents/guardians can receive a confidential username and password. Communication from your child's school will arrive sometime after the beginning of second semester.
How do I obtain a confidential Parent username and password?
A parent/guardian will need to go to the school on a designated day/time organized by the school, request a PowerSchool Parent Portal account, and provide a Picture ID to the office personnel at your child's school.
Do PowerSchool usernames and passwords have to be typed in with all caps or all lowercase?
No. PowerSchool parent/guardian usernames will be random numbers and PowerSchool passwords will be random letters of the alphabet. The passwords are not case-sensitive. The system will automatically randomly generate these unique usernames and passwords.
What do I do if I forget my PowerSchool password?
If you forget your password or username you will need to see the office personnel at the school your child attends to retrieve it or have it reset.
May I change my PowerSchool password?

No. If your user account information gets compromised you will need to see the office personnel at your child's school to have it reset.

Can other people see my child's attendance and grade information?

No. As long as you protect your password, others will not see your child’s information. Each parent is issued a unique identification login username and password for each child.

During what times of the day or evening may I see my child's grades online?
PowerSchool's Parent Portal will be available at anytime, day or night on any computer that is connected to the internet. The only exception to this is during nightly or weekend system maintenance that will occur for system upgrades and maintenance. During these maintenance windows, if you are logged in, you will be logged out during this maintenance period.
Having trouble logging in! ...What can I try?
  • Make sure you are using a compatible web browser. Compatible web browsers include: Internet Explorer 8, Firefox, Safari and Chrome
  • Use correct combination of username and password
  • Computer settings may be different from one computer to another...try logging in using a different computer
  • "Login page expired (or cached) Please re-login" message
    • Note:
      1) You may receive this message occasionally, click the refresh button in your browser and try again.

      2) Clear your browser cache, exit your browser and load PowerSchool again
